U.S. mortgage rates fall for third straight week

U.S. mortgage rates are down for the third consecutive week, according to Freddie Mac. The 30-year fixed mortgage averaged 4.10 percent for the week ending April 6, down from 4.14 percent the previous week. A year ago, mortgage rates stood at 3.71 percent.
