Orioles close 2018 season with 23 percent attendance decline

The Orioles saw their attendance tumble in 2018 after a season that saw the franchise’s record dip to new lows. The team, which closed out the season with 4-0 win over the Houston Astros at Camden Yards Sunday, dipped below 2 million spectators this year for the first time since 2011. Here are the 6 startups competing at Beta City 2018

Six Maryland startup companies will compete for $25,000 in funding at this year’s Beta City Venture Capital Pitch Competition. A ranking of highest-paid Baltimore City employees in 2018

The highest-paid employee in Baltimore City Hall is not Mayor Catherine Pugh, or even a department head — it’s Police Sgt. William Harris. He brought home $250,197 in fiscal 2018. He was one of dozens of city police officers, sergeants and lieutenants to earn well over their base salary in the past year due to overtime payments. Harris’ base salary is $100,228.
