Brian Treacy remembers the first call he got from Kevin Plank four years ago. Plank, the CEO of Under Armour, had an idea to bring rye whiskey distilling back to Maryland, and he wanted Treacy to get involved immediately. Treacy was working at the time in Arizona, and flew out to Baltimore three days after he got the call to hear the full pitch from Plank and Sagamore Spirit co-founder Bill McDermond.
