Concerned about competition, Mayor Pugh consults with county execs on wage bill

Mayor Catherine Pugh is on the clock. She has fewer than three weeks to decide whether she will sign or veto a bill that would increase the city’s minimum wage to $15 by 2022. Before she makes her decision, Pugh wants to pick the brains of local county leaders to talk about the potential increase, and to see if other counties in Greater Baltimore are going to pursue similar measures.
