Mount Vernon’s newest cafe is also a young entrepreneur’s dream Christmas gift. The Melody Cafe launched on Sunday in a basement space at 800 St. Paul St., which until this fall was home to another cafe called The Room. Before that, the space was Red Emma’s Bookstore Coffeehouse, which moved to Station North in 2013.
