Larry Hogan pulled a dramatic upset over Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown in 2014 to become the next governor of Maryland. Few people expected Hogan, a Republican businessman, to win in deep-blue Maryland. Heading into next year’s election, it will be Hogan trying to stave off an upset from a Democrat.
