Under Armour taps GM exec as first chief innovation officer

Under Armour Inc. has named a longtime General Motors Co. executive as the sportswear maker’s first chief innovation officer. Clay Dean will be responsible for driving the company’s innovation strategy and collaboration between its design, marketing and product divisions. Dean spent more than 20 years at GM (NYSE: GM), and most recently led GM’s Global Advanced Design organization.
