Leasing in late 2016 by local commercial brokers at Merritt Properties increased 10 percent over 2015 figures for an overall 93 percent occupancy rate. The Baltimore-based Merritt ended the final quarter of 2016 with 48 new leases and 66 renewals and expansion leases, company officials said Monday. The new leases totaled 397,249 square feet and the new leases and expansions totaled 925,213 square feet.
