An Arizona organic grocery store chain is opening its first Maryland location inside a former Mars Super Market in Ellicott City. The 45,000-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market is expected to open in early 2018 in the St. John’s Plaza at 9150 Baltimore National Pike. The store, also Sprouts’ first in the mid-Atlantic, is expected to employ 120 people. Phoenix-based Sprouts (NASDAQ: SFM) has more than 280 stores in 15 states.
