It’s been only 10 months since Elon Musk first used Twitter to float the idea of digging a tunnel under Los Angeles, and over the weekend, in addition to prepping another SpaceX launch happening this afternoon, he tweeted a photo of the hole’s progress. The Boring Co. has dug 500 feet so far, he wrote in a follow-up tweet. The tunnel should reach two miles in three or four months, with the goal of paralleling the 405 freeway from LAX to the 101 “in a year or so.” And this is no dirt hole.…
