Maryland seeks to minimize higher Obamacare premiums following subsidy cut

Maryland regulators want to minimize the effects of again increasing premium rates for Obamacare insurance plans by only allowing hikes on the plans where they would have the smallest financial impact. Insurers and state officials have been scrambling to figure out how to handle a federal funding change to the Affordable Care Act that could cost Maryland insurers about $100 million in losses over the next year.
