Ballard Spahr has greatly expanded its presence in the Midwest by agreeing to acquire Minneapolis-based Lindquist & Vennum, a more than 150-lawyer firm with locations in Denver and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. When the deal become effective on Jan. 1, the combined firm will be known as Ballard Spahr with more than 650 lawyers in 15 offices.
