Former CFG Community Bank exec indicted on fraud, tax evasion

A federal grand jury has indicted a former CFG Community Bank executive on charges of fraud and tax invasion. David Harris Lavine, 58, of Rockville, faces charges of diverting $100,000 of bank funds to his own benefit while in the role of acting president of Baltimore-based CFG from March 2010 to January 2011. Lavine was later president of CFG affiliate, Capital Financial Ventures LLC, from January 2011 and August 2011 and devised a scheme to defraud CFG through refinancing bank-owned mortgage loans…
