Greater Baltimore’s economy grew faster in 2016 than the national average. New data from the U.S. Department of Commerce shows that between 2015 and 2016, the Baltimore area saw its gross domestic product grow by 2.4 percent. That’s larger than the national average of 1.7 percent.
