A 102-room Candlewood Suites is coming to a long-vacant building downtown along Charles Street. Sunset Hotel Group is planning to convert the 12-story building at 101 N. Charles St. into a hotel. The Edgewood-based company, which also owns and operates hotels in Joppa, Salisbury and North East, purchased the property in June for $3.75 million, according to state property records.
