Another Metrorail parking lot will bite the dust in favor of new development. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority has closed its deal with Providence, Rhode Island-based Gilbane Development Co. to redevelop the 530-space College Park surface lot with a 440-unit multifamily building over roughly 12,000 square feet of retail, in addition to a 1-acre village green.
