Attorney General Brian E. Frosh announced today Maryland will receive $1.022 million as a result of a settlement in a case involving dental services company Benevis LLC and 133 Kool Smiles dental clinics. Maryland joined the United States, Washington, D.C., and 19 other states in the settlement agreement, resolving allegations that Benevis and Kool Smiles knowingly submitted false Medicaid claims related to dental services provided to pediatric patients.
