AAA: Maryland travel to be up 3% for Thanksgiving

Just over one million Marylanders are expected to travel for Thanksgiving, the highest volume of traffic expected for the holiday since 2005. AAA expects that 1.03 million people in the state will travel 50 miles or more, an increase of 3 percent from last year. Nationally, 48.7 million Americans will hit the road or fly that weekend, which AAA defines as being between Nov. 23 and Nov. 27.
