As Small Business Saturday approaches, Ellicott City businesses adjust to 'the new normal'

On Main Street in Ellicott City this week, Sara Arditti set up a table to sell bright costume jewelry, handmade ornaments and even posters that say “Make Art Not War.” Nearby, candy maker Steve McDermott peddles chocolate and vanilla fudge while Megan Clark straightens up a stable of toy horses and unicorns at Ellicott City Toyland and Charlene Townsend displays crystal and china plates at Maxine’s Antiques and Collectables.
