A look at the top national retailer’s in this year’s report of “ Best Stores for Black Friday” shows that brands like Macy’s and J.C. Penny are doing something to fight department store doubt. Among the top 10 retailers on WalletHub’s study, more than half are department store brands, with average discounts ranging from about 44 percent to nearly 64 percent.
