The Sam’s Club in Owings Mills was one of several of the chain’s stores to suddenly close its doors on Thursday. The closure will result in 169 layoffs, according to a filing with Maryland’s labor department. The filing says the layoffs will take place between April and May, however, a message on the store’s phone line says the store is closed effective Thursday.
