Sinclair profit falls 10 percent but beats Wall Street expectations

Without the boost of last year’s political advertising revenue, Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc.’s profit declined almost 10 percent in the second quarter but beat Wall Street estimates. The Hunt Valley-based television broadcaster’s earnings fell 9.7 percent to $44.6 million, or 43 cents per share, compared with $49.4 million, or 52 cents per share in the same period last year.
