Local chefs prepare creative alternatives for Vegan Restaurant Week

For meat lovers, the idea of going to a BBQ joint and ordering anything other than a pulled-pork sandwich would appear to be an act of heresy. But with Baltimore Vegan Restaurant Week starting up next Friday, Cara Bruce hopes vegans, vegetarians and carnivores alike come in to try Blue Pitt BBQ’s pulled jackfruit sandwich topped with vegan slaw.
