Mayor Catherine Pugh said Wednesday she stands by a former legislative aide and current City Hall employee who was found guilty this week of violating campaign finance laws. Gary Brown Jr., who was also an aide to Pugh while she was a state senator, entered an Alford plea in Baltimore Circuit Court on Tuesday to two counts of making illegal campaign contributions.
