Hogan vetoes paid sick leave bill, says it would 'turn back the clock'

Gov. Larry Hogan said he will veto the General Assembly’s paid sick leave legislation and hopes to reach a compromise with Democrats by the time next year’s session begins. Hogan, a Republican, called the legislature’s proposal a “terrible, poorly written and deeply flawed bill” and said it would result in the loss of hundreds of small businesses and thousands of jobs.
