Alexander Ovechkin scored early, Braden Holtby kept the puck out of the net and the Washington Capitals punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1998 with a 4-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday night. There may have been more talented Caps teams in the past, but this one is showing the grit and toughness (did you see winger Tom Wilson’s right cross?) to maybe — just maybe — bring a championship to Washington.…
