Guess which states new Marylanders came from

More people moved out of Maryland than into it in 2016. The state had a net loss of more than 25,500 residents that year, according to the most recent U.S. Census data. While that doesn’t exactly bode well for the Old Line State, it did still welcome 158,647 new Marylanders during that time. Those individuals largely migrated from neighboring Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
