Ellicott City's E.C. Pops finds new space, inventory thanks to some good Samaritans

With nothing left of their celebrated Main Street business “E.C. Pops” following Sunday’s tragic flood, a series of small miracles has lifted two Ellicott City businessmen to a path of hope. Within two hours Tuesday, E.C. Pops owners Lance Sovine and Dougles Yeakey signed a lease to reopen in temporary digs in nearby Columbia after the landlord extended a 1,600-square-foot storefront — rent free.
