Southeast Baltimore will be getting a new brewery next winter. Mobtown Brewing Co. has plans to open in late 2018 or early 2019. The brewery is close to signing a lease on space in the Canton/Highlandtown/Fells Point/Brewers Hill area, head brewer Dave Carpenter said. Carpenter, a home brewer for the past 15 years, recently quit his job as a geotechnical engineer to help launch Mobtown.
