Laureate Education CEO Douglas Becker, who founded the Baltimore company in 1999, will step down in Jan. 1 as part of an executive transition plan. Becker, who has been Laureate’s only CEO, will remain non-executive chairman of the for-profit network of colleges. He will also step down as president.
