The job scene for the new Amazon.com Inc. distribution center in Cecil County got brighter this week. Amazon.com Inc. has informed county and state economic development officials it will now hire 1,000 for its 1.15-million-square-foot distribution center in North East set to open next Friday. The original workforce was set to be 700 by 2020.
