A new kind of weapons detector will be beta tested at Baltimore’s Camden Yards, starting in 2020. The detection technology, called HexWave, will be provided by Canada-based Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. through an agreement with the Maryland Stadium Authority. Next year, visitors arriving at Camden Yards may pass through the new HexWave scanners, which Liberty touts as a new method for keeping the Baltimore ballpark and its up to 45,000 sports spectators secure.
