Vacant downtown City Crescent building to hit the auction block next month

The massive — and completely vacant — City Crescent building downtown is hitting the auction block. The 27-year-old, 11-story office tower at 10 S. Howard St. spans 315,372 square feet and will be auctioned Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. on the steps of the Clarence M. Mitchell III Courthouse. A deposit of $250,000 is required to bid, said Paul Cooper, vice president of Alex Cooper Auctioneers, which is handling the sale.
