Frederick's BioFactura wins $67.4M federal contract to develop smallpox drug

Frederick biopharamceutical firm BioFactura Inc. has won a federal contract worth up to $67.4 million to advance development of a drug to defend against smallpox. The contract was awarded by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service.
