Astronaut Jemison on women's 'imposter syndrome': 'You should be there'

Dr. Mae C. Jemison is sorry she never got to Mars. But she said people should start looking beyond the Red Planet. Mars is old hat to Jemison, a NASA astronaut who became the first woman of color in the world to go into space when she flew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavor in 1992. “We know how to do Mars,” she said.
