Bethesda biotech to sell portable concussion-detection device commercially

BrainScope Company Inc. scored a big win last week when it received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration to market a new medical device that assesses traumatic brain injuries. The Ahead 300, which uses a smartphone attached to a custom sensor to record and analyze a patient’s brain after a head injury, will be the first device BrainScope will sell commercially.
