Johns Hopkins will launch a new institute for stroke research and clinical care with a $50 million gift from the United Arab Emirates. Hopkins will establish the Sheikh Khalifa Stroke Institute in Baltimore, with the mission to utilize engineering skills, artificial intelligence and precision medicine to better diagnose, treat and restore function to stroke patients. The institute will be named for Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, and will also have a location in Abu Dhabi.…
