The Los Angeles Times may be getting a new owner. Tronc Inc. (NASDAQ: TRNC), the Chicago news conglomerate, is reportedly selling the newspaper to one of its largest shareholders, Patrick Soon-Shiong, the billionaire doctor-turned-entrepreneur who founded health technology company Nanthealth (NASDAQ: NH).
