Why this Baltimore startup isn't keeping all of its latest funding round

Local startup Arbit raised over $825,000 through crowdfunding. But the company is only keeping $700,000, enough to hire new team members and support development of its web and mobile apps. Arbit, an app that allows users to vote on questions posed by brands and celebrities, launched a crowdfunding effort in August on the website MicroVentures.
