Some downtown parking meters could rise to $5 an hour by 2023

A new plan expected to be approved by the city on Wednesday would gradually increase the price of parking at some meters downtown — possibly as high as $5 per hour by 2023 — while decreasing the cost of others. The Parking Authority of Baltimore City is proposing small rate changes every six months on certain blocks based on their popularity.
