McCormick & Co. Inc. shares rose in pre-market trading Thursday after the spice maker posted a 7 percent increase in second-quarter profit. The Sparks spice maker reported a profit of $100 million in the quarter, or 79 cents per share, up from $93.8 million, or 73 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
