After steam pipe explosion, local hotels, guests start to clean up (Photos)

A 10-foot wall is the only thing separating a parking lot next to the Holiday Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor and Eutaw Street. For many guests, the wall wasn’t enough when a steam pipe exploded Tuesday night, injuring five people and damaging nearby buildings and cars. Hotel guests returned to their cars Wednesday morning to find windows shattered and doors dented after the pipe burst a little after 6 p.m. Tuesday, sending debris and scorching steam into the air.
