Venable LLP, the largest law firm in the Baltimore area, said on Wednesday that James L. Shea is stepping down next year as chairman. Shea will be succeeded by Stuart Ingis, co-head of Venable’s privacy and data security practice. Ingis will take on the role Feb. 1. Shea will become chair emeritus.
