McCormick spinoff specializing in 'flavor fingerprinting' nabs investment from SAP

A Baltimore startup launched by a former McCormick & Co. Inc. executive has received an investment from German software giant SAP. Vivanda Inc., spun off of McCormick by Jerry Wolfe, offers a service that provides “flavor fingerprints” for people and foods. Wolfe, the former chief information officer at the Sparks seasonings maker, founded the company in December 2014.
