Downtown Rite Aid store closes as part of Baltimore Street redevelopment project

A Rite Aid store located in Baltimore’s central business district has closed as part of a bigger redevelopment project. The store, which leased space at 125 E. Baltimore St., is adjacent to the old Alex. Brown and Sons headquarters. The two buildings are being turned into a restaurant, shops and coworking offices by a partnership formed by Tampa, Florida-based developer Casper Co. and the Griswold family, descendants of Alexander Brown.
