More than 890,000 Maryland residents are expected to travel this weekend for the Fourth of July, the highest travel volume for the holiday on record. The figure is up 1.3 percent from last year’s July 4 weekend, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic. The holiday period is defined as June 30 - July 4.
