Nearly 1.5 million Marylanders are expected to travel 50 miles or more from their homes during Thanksgiving this year, according to a forecast from AAA. The figure is a 2.2% increase over last year and marks the second-highest travel volume in Maryland since the organization began tracking the data in 2000.
