New England Motor Freight Inc. is closing operations across the U.S., a move that will eliminate 233 jobs at three trucking terminals in Maryland. The privately owned NEMF, one of the largest trucking companies in the nation, is closing a 59-person terminal at 1508 Joh Ave. in Baltimore, a 93-person site at 3 Center Drive in Northeast and an 81-person terminal at 16503 Hunters Green Parkway in Hagerstown.
