Why a Dutch ship is docked in the Baltimore Inner Harbor

You may have noticed a large ship carrying the Dutch flag docked in the Inner Harbor if you have a waterfront view from your office or if you walked by the water on the way to lunch on Thursday. The ship is called the Stad Amsterdam and it’s the brainchild of Randstad Holding founder Frits Goldschmeding. The 83 yard-long boat came to Baltimore from Miami and is on its way back to Amsterdam. Its stop in Charm City is part of nonprofit group Sail Baltimore’s ongoing effort to bring in visiting ships…
