Shares of Laureate Education Inc. rose almost 3 percent in trading Thursday despite taking a loss in the third quarter that was larger than Wall Street projected. The loss stemmed from a decline in revenue and enrollment remaining flat. The Baltimore-based for-profit network of universities reported a net loss of $96.7 million, or 42 cents per share, in the third quarter.
